Celebrating 100 Years of Live Entertainment
I led the expansion and evolution of the Mount Baker Theatre brand in celebration of its 100th anniversary. MBT is the cornerstone of the Arts district in downtown Bellingham where the performing arts are kept alive by stewards such as myself.
For the people of Bellingham, the century-old theatre holds countless cherished memories, having stood as a beloved landmark through generations. I felt inclined to incorporate historical imagery into my design to honor the city's history and this enduring landmark.
I developed a refreshed visual identity and designed supporting brand assets that honor the theatre's historic legacy.
I began the design process with the upgraded logo and centennial season brochure above. Next came the window decals/clings, gold tickets, business cards, letterhead & envelopes, web graphics, website design, and merch.
MBT Centennial Merch
To celebrate 100 years of live entertainment, I created some fresh new designs for our centennial merch collection to get the community excited and to increase engagement with patrons from 50+ miles away.
I started the design process with a logo study starting in 1927 when the theatre first opened. The Mount Baker Theatre logo has gone through many evolutions over the years, all captured on this centennial keepsake tote bag. This process was truly a labor of my love, recreating and vectorizing logos that were once hand drawn before programs such as Adobe Illustrator came to be.
